Mission
mosso is a social project rooted in via Padova, Milan, and it is committed to catalyze and support the multifaceted shades of this part of the city offering new opportunities. In these terms, inclusion is just the beginning of a mutual path. mosso is an open and comfortable piazza, where everyone can come and stay, talk and share projects, where people and ideas come and go. We work with single individuals as well as with groups of people, non-profit organizations, public institutions, and local government. Through social enterprise projects we promote employment opportunities for disadvantaged people.
Governance
A temporary association made up by 5 non-profit organizations oversees the management of mosso. Each organization has specific skills in job placement, cultural events, professional training, and social inclusion. Requests, dreams, and needs coming from people living in the neighborhood are discussed in the specific spaces of partecipation where it is possible to exchange ideas and build together new projects.
Our main goal is to build social innovation through collaboration, transparency, and co-planning.
The municipality of Milan and Cariplo Foundation supported the ideation of the project and collaborate with our association in order to guarantee the project a unified vision.
Sustainability
Consuming in mosso means also economically supporting social inclusion actions, the creation of job opportunities for disadvantaged people and accessible cultural events. The choice to eat, drink, have your own party or organize a corporate event in mosso supports the entire social and cultural project. In continuity to the long tradition of Trotter Park of welcoming and training young citizens, mosso involves all local communities, realizing shared visions.

A cultural proposal resulting from continuous co-planning, which allows to discover and enhance talents, creating opportunities for expression and personal development. A culture accessible and open to all.
JOB PLACEMENTS
work is one pillar of a more equal and just society and is one main area of work of the whole project. We take care of this through employment of disadvantaged people in our services and through the projects of professional training.
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
Professional training offers the chance to valorize personal talents and skills in a world where the job market is continuously changing. Through retraining programs and support for employment, mosso promotes people's personal and professional growth.
SOCIAL INCLUSION
we work together with people in the neighborhood and build together projects whose aim is to make fair city, a city where everyone has the chance to speak out their needs, desires, and perspective. The goal is to build efficient typology of community-based organization and to tie together different groups of interests.
FOOD
Food can tie together communities and can be a trigger of reciprocal understanding. Food can be a device of integration. Job placement in our restaurant and food related services such as cafè and catering is oriented to help people in need in strong synergy with training and social inclusion activities.
CIRCULAR ECONOMY
mosso believes in strengthening circular economy practices and it offers activities, cultural events as well as services that reason with the concept of reduce- reuse- upcycle- recycle.

The mosso project is part of the program “Lacittàintorno” by Cariplo Foundation and it is born in a co-planned synergy with the Municipality of Milan.
This website has been funded by the Municipality of Milan, through a call for tenders called “Milano 15 minuti” in the context of the “PON Metro - Città metropolitane 2014 -2020" program.

How to reach mosso
mosso is located in Via Mosso 3, on the corner with Via Padova. It can be easily reached on foot, by running, by bike, motorbike and public transport.
